THE SHOWS

The Rescignos

An obsessive-compulsive, socially awkward, tolerably attractive guy sings and tells jokes…and he has a twin. Donning sweater vests and each armed with a razor-sharp wit, The Rescignos are like Cain and Abel but with more singing and less fratricide.

The Rescignos Variety Show

From time to time, The Rescigno boys join forces with a talented ensemble of actors for The Rescignos Variety Show, an evening of hilarious sketch comedy, jaunty musical numbers, and sweater vests.

THE TWINS

Born in New York City, Paul and Robbie Rescigno are actors who grew up in southern Delaware, spending most of their childhood watching classic television on Nick at Nite. Both attended Syracuse University where they appeared together in productions of Twelfth Night, Kiss Me, Kate, and the premiere of their variety show. While in college, both studied for a semester at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. The two appeared in the feature film Tenure, starring Luke Wilson, Gretchen Mol and David Koechner. When they are not performing, their days are spent working in television. Robbie has worked at MSNBC’s Morning Joe as well as The Nate Berkus Show, while Paul currently works at The Late Show with David Letterman.

RVS - Michael Hadge

Michael Hadge

Michael “Mike Hadge” Hadge. The Rescignos acknowledge that if Michael had never come along, they’d probably be filling their shows with re-writes of obscure songs from CATS. Michael started his existence a baby in Easton, Massachusetts. Some time later, he moved to New York City, where he attended university at Fordham University. While there, he wrote and directed two full length musicals and formed what remains Fordham’s only sketch comedy group, Free Pizza. He has since written for TruTV, Best Week Ever, and The Late Show with David Letterman. He teamed up with the Rescignos in Fall 2009, and has since become the Carole King to their Monkees. If you hear them performing a song with too few chords, far too many words, and some “rhymes” that are really stretching it, most likely it was penned by Hadge. A lot of people think “Mike Hadge” started writing songs about twins only after he met the Rescignos, but this simply cannot be further from the truth. Twin-related songs have always been his bread/butter, and when he joined up with Paul and Robert, ‘twas simply an obvious artistic outlet. In truth, more songs, dating back to Gregorian poetry, have been written about twins than about love, war, and God combined – the subject is universal. Or, as one might say, “Two”-niversal? Nope.
